Early access · the game master is in
Become the hero or villain of any world you can imagine.
Every game you've ever played was written before you got there. The characters have a fixed set of lines. The story has a fixed set of endings. Play long enough and you see the seams: the same three dialogue options, the invisible wall at the edge of the map, the quest that ends the same way no matter what you choose. The character you loved starts to feel like a script instead of a person, and everything becomes predictable.
LoreWind is what you wanted instead: a dynamic RPG, inspired by the greats of old, like KOTOR, Fallout, and Dragon Age; a powerful writing tool; and an exciting tabletop session all in one. Any world you can imagine, and you can do anything in it. Fight in massive battles and lead armies, navigate complex political intrigue, manage complex relationships, and complete difficult quests that have no fixed solution. The people in it aren't scripts: they have their own secrets, their own motives, and their own opinion of you. A real RPG runs underneath. Quill narrates it all, just for you. Everything is voiced how you want it and drawn in your favorite art style as you go, with a beautiful custom generated playlist to listen to while you play, while the most special moments are animated on video.
Who will you meet?
People with lives of their own
Characters aren't just waiting for you to save them. They have their own goals which evolve over time, agency, and will take measures to carry out those goals. Whether they help you, ignore you, or work against you depends on their opinion of you. They'll remember you based on what you did, down to the exact in-world time you did it. Or forget you, not because it fell out of context, but because what you did wasn't enough to make them care.
Here are five, from five different stories. Glide across the stack to meet them; every world paints its cast in its own style. If the game master ever surprises you, the panel beside every story shows what each active character knows and feels, so you can find out why.

Nothing is forgotten. Everything you do matters.
Unlike platforms that keep things shallow or cut your context off when the story grows long, I make sure the characters remember what they should. If you risk yourself to save a wounded rival, he’ll remember what you did for the rest of his life.
Nothing is faked, if you want it.
Want a challenging RPG experience? Play in game mode. Unlike raw GPT or Claude, you can’t just say you kill the villain, get the girl / guy, or win an ally to your cause. You have to earn it: build your stats, complete quests, grow your reputation, raise their opinion of you. And even then the dice have the final say, rolled in code the game master can’t touch. Nothing is ever guaranteed, just like real life. Want to see what somebody thinks of you and why? Open their character sheet. If it’s a publicly known thing about the character, it’ll tell you. If it’s a secret, it’ll tell you when you learn it.
Nothing is disposable.
Your characters’ faces and voices don’t change unless you want them to: identity is never lost, from chapter one to chapter forty, without any effort from you. No manually generating images of your scene or characters, no prompting the image model, no immersion break. Your world persists, your friends can join it, and when the tale is told, you export the book.
Everything you love about RPGs
Everything you love about the classics is here. Roll a d20 against a real difficulty check. Build your hero point by point, then level them up your way. Fight turn-based battles and watch your health and stamina bars go down; talking your way out is always on the table if you decided to go for a charisma build. Track quests in a journal that fills itself as the story turns. Earn a reputation, hero or villain, and watch strangers react to your legend before you say a word. Every deed inks you onto a morality ladder that runs from Beacon of Hope down to The Walking Dread. Gather a party of friends at one table. If you grew up on KOTOR and Dragon Age like me, this is the game those games promised.

Play it your way
You are currently hunting a monster in the barony which is responsible for stealing and slaughtering livestock on nights of the full moon, by contract of the local baron.
While on the road, a stranger lies against a tree bleeding. She reaches out a hand as you pass by on the road before falling into the snow.
Choose what you do
Choose the voice that sounds like you.
Never stare at a blank page: every turn offers response options generated for that exact moment, each labeled with its voice. Play the shining hero, the flirtatious rogue, the cold villain, the curious investigator, or the eccentric wildcard. Or ignore them all and write your own move. The choice is yours.
Under the table
Not just a chatbot
LoreWind is not just a chatbot with an RPG skin, or a wrapper around someone else's model. It's a full game: a persistent world state that updates automatically as you play, folding summaries, and cutting-edge context searching that uses queries based on your recent messages to keep a hundred-hour story coherent. Real dice, character sheets, battles, XP, quest tracking, factions, and reputation for game mode. The AI is only the driver that keeps the engine pumping. The game is the machine, and it can do anything you can imagine. And it's only going to get better.
A d20 rolled in code, not vibes. The trail waits for a winning throw.
Your vitals
Three pools, tracked in code. Battles spend what they spend.
Opinion of you: +18 favorable · you saved her life on the north road msg 101

a stranger to everyone; nobody knows your name or deeds
Reputation and fame, kept as numbers the world reacts to.
Location: The old tollhouse, north road
Condition: feverish, asleep by the fire
A persistent world sheet updates itself as you play.
Rumors & omens
“The wound was too clean for wolves.”
Active
- ◈Get her to shelter before nightfall
A journal that writes itself, and rumors that pull you forward.
Slay the Beast
The Boy Who Became The Wolf
A scripted taste of LoreWind's battle stage. The choices are authored in advance; in real play, they are dynamic. The d20 is real, local, and yours.
You've hunted monsters before. This one is different, it wears a human's skin by day, an innocent village boy, kind and gentle by all accounts. It's come to this secluded cave to hide, and isolate itself during its transformations, but none can escape you. A job is a job, and your profession is death.
Don't want a game? Just write.
Not every story needs dice. Play in Writer or Immersion mode and write your story the way YOU want: no stats, no attributes, no rolls. Just you and Quill, and a world that quietly keeps itself true. Persistent world state tracking and memory work exactly the same, whichever way you play.
See it, hear it
Illustrate any scene in your world's own unique art style, always safe for work whatever the prose is doing. Every character cast with a lifelike voice that fits, and it doesn’t change unless you want it to. Hear an epic theme song written for your world, then listen to the beautiful music playlist you've generated while you play, automatically tailored to your story by the engine. And turn any key moment into a visually stunning short video, a character speaking the line with the same voice she uses when reading out loud.

| Free AI RP | LoreWind | |
|---|---|---|
| Memory | falls out the back | filed with receipts |
| Faces and voices | drift per image | pinned from chapter one |
| The game | agrees with you | rolls real dice |
| Your data | is the product | is never trained on |
THE FREE LUNCH
Because "free" AI roleplay is paid for with the two things a story can't survive losing: memory and consistency. Every model worth playing with costs real money per token, so a free one is paying for itself some other way: data policies worth reading twice, models that aren't flagship quality, or quiet throttling the moment you're invested. You feel it as the classic free-RP experience: the character who forgot what you did for them two days ago, the sister who becomes an only child in chapter three, the villain whose face changes with every image. Bring-your-own-key platforms like SillyTavern just move the bill: you pay per token, or settle for free models with those same trade-offs. Running a model on your own machine isn't the answer either: anything consumer hardware can hold struggles with the nuance that prose and intrigue demand. I never train on your stories, and only use legitimate, paid, reliable API providers. Your subscription pays the bill, so your data never has to.
THE WRONG TOOL
And even when you pay, a general chatbot was never built to run a game. Tell it you kill the villain and it agrees, because it's an assistant and you're the customer. Twenty minutes in, it's lost who you are. Long stories rot as the context fills and memory falls out the back. LoreWind was built for exactly this: a master novelist as your game master who never breaks character, real dice rolled against a real character sheet where failure sticks and is more fun for it, and characters who hold opinions of you with receipts, pursuing their own goals from one scene to the next. Their faces and voices stay pinned from chapter one to chapter forty. Nothing here is a persona in a void: every story is a whole cast inside a living world, with timelines you can fork and roads not taken waiting on the story board.
THE ACTUAL ANSWER
No cheap or low-quality models ever power Quill: DeepSeek V4 Pro is the minimum, through GLM 5.2, Muse Spark 1.2, Grok 4.6, GPT 5.6 Luna, Gemini 3.7 Flash, Kimi K3, GPT 5.6 Terra, Claude Sonnet 5, and Gemini 3.1 Pro, all the way up to Claude Opus 5 and GPT 5.6 Sol. And unlike other AI galleries, I commit to a gallery where every world is worth playing: it's why world creators get models like Claude Opus, Gemini Pro, Claude Fable, and GPT Sol, and why I reward YOU for building worlds people love. Every subscriber who really plays your world and rates it four stars or higher earns you a Lore Point toward a discount on your own renewal.
But don't take my word for any of this.
One subscription. No API keys, no extension wrangling, no painstaking worldbook editing, no watching the cost of every token, no worrying about context sizes just to keep your characters feeling like themselves. If you've ever fought SillyTavern or OpenRouter just to get a story running, that whole chore is gone. Just have fun and enjoy the game, let me take care of the rest.
